Oceanmist’s eyes grew wide and she looked at her alpha in shock. He was going to announce it now? In front of everybody? Oh gosh… she quietly rose and walked over to him before she faced the crowd and sat next to him, only a few feet away. She looked at him in disbelief with a face of confusion and shock, and maybe a bit of ‘WTF?!’ in there too. She hoped that this wouldn’t come as a shock to her pack mates, if they had wanted to know they could have just looked at her stomach. But she knew most of them were probably a bit denser than that, thinking she had gotten fat, or not even noticed. ‘I guess I would have had to tell them anyways…’ she thought to herself, still staring at Whitelightning.
Then a different thought came to her mind, would he want her to say it, or would he just say it himself. She really hoped that she wouldn’t have to say it. It was embarrassing. She thought in her mind what she would say if she had to say something. ‘I left in heat and now I’m pregnant.’ no, ‘I got knocked up?’ no… ‘I guess… I’m pregnant.’ many other thoughts went through her mind, but if she had to say anything, she decided it would just be, ‘I’m pregnant.’

Majority placed her paws on the firm ground and moved to the sidelines. Oceanmist had come close to WhiteLightning on Majority’s side. Anyone could tell she was pregnant. She had been gone so long that the scent had changed. Oceanmist smelt of a traitor and a trespasser on their lands. The anger in WhiteLightning’s voice was a nice change, Majority enjoyed a little hostility. A sly sneer wrapped around Major’s lips. She tilted her head to aim her dastardly look at Oceanmist’s lower abdomen and rise to look at Ocean’s face. If this had been Alteron, Majority would have jumped at the chance to banish Ocean and her bastard children. However, The Greater North was better than Alteron and damn Majority for thinking otherwise.
It was hard to keep a straight face at the situation, for a woman to be so careless in a season of heat away from the pack lands was stupid (to say the least). Majority had high tolerance for others because she rarely spoke to any. However, she valued the way of dignity and Ocean clearly did not. It was hard to stifle her laughter that burbled through her throat and spurted out at intervals of her breathing. Her tail wagged back and forth behind her, this pack meeting was not as bad as she thought it would be. Her nostrils flared as she snuffed up some oxygen to calm herself down. She lifted her composure and looked around to the other wolves, but most importantly she looked to Oceanmist.
A sincere choice of appearance lifted to her visage and she smiled, “I wish you the best of luck.”
Ooc: Oh… Majority won’t have any friends now. X3

After the hunt, Spitz had taken only a small amount of food that he knew could satisfy his growing hunger, and ran off to leave the pack to do what it did. Disliking the thought of eating infront of many whom he did not know, the brown beast had left without a word. Whether or not he others noticed was their problem. With his dinner in his maw, he nestled down beside a cluster of frosted boulders, laying in his small bedding that he had made before joining the group for his hunt. This was were he ate that day, and this was were he slept that night, like he did most nights, because he had no one to spend those evening with.
Shaking his head, he had made a slow advance to the sound of White Lightning's calling. The occasion sounded somewhat important, however he was in no rush to arrive early and before anyone else. Looking into the distance, he could see everyone, happily chatting amongst themselves. Obviously, he had not been missed, but rollign his shoulders shrugging the thought of dismay away, he quickened his gentle pace. With his ears folded neatly upon his head, he ccaught no words from the others, nor heard the announcement of this, Oceanmist character. Through golden eyes he saw though, a plump she wolf rose to be by her Alphas side. Who was that? thought the artic timber mix, as he came lazily into the group that had surrounded themselves around White Lightning.
Merely nodding to those whom he recognised; Swig and Jaggedpaw to be specific, he plonked himself behind them all. His appearance had been silent, as he did not wish to disturb this, ceremony, if it was to be called. Spitz was unaware as to why everyone had congregated, and why the female was standing looking rather anxious? was she? Pantign genty with his tongue lolling, and with haze seeping from his nostrils and parted maw, he kneeded the snow beneath her toes, whilst scanning the heads of the other wolves. Despite the happiness upon their faces, he was still tired, angry, one could say, of having no wolf acknowledge his presence, nor even glance to his arrival or throw him a second glance within the packlands. It did not bother him so much, that no wolf looked at him. No beast knew him, and the quiet nights alone were pleasant. Although no wolf was an island of their own.
Never before had he seen such a large congregation of wolves. Any territories that he had slunk to stealthily through had its members scattered around the pack lands, fighting for meat, battling for rank, growling for space; that was a totally different atmosphere from what he was experiencing now. The Greater North was indeed united as one pack, friends with each other but he. It would bring a tear to his eye, if he was not as strong and big- headed as he was. Although beneath the toughness that he loved to show, he was kind at heart.
A sigh escaped his parted lips as he lifted his hind leg to scratch an itch on his cheek. His fur shook on his strong frame, and leaning his head down to his leg, he tiched that fur, without any distracting noises. What really was going on here? If only he had listened more carefully, and had come sooner. Then he'd know the details, and why that fat she wolf was by the leader. Was she the Alpha female? If not, why was there not one?. For now though, he remained in his silence, waiting patiently for the evening to begin, now listening with erect ears for more announcements or whatever information that had yet to be released.

Oceanmist arrived. Having been off on her travels, she wasn't exactly a familiar face to the yearling. The azure-pelted pup took a great deal of time analyzing the solid white female. It appeared as though the she-wolf was pregnant. Unknown winced slightly. More pups? Greeaaaat... That was all she needed. More little fluffballs to nag her.
Majority was another familiar face that arrived. Glancing at the blue and white female, Unknown gave a slight nod of acknowledgement. She had been in Majority and Shrike's group during the hunt. They had gotten into an argument, but in the end, things had turned out okay.
Unknown looked to Whitelightning as he spoke. "Welcome back, comrrads. I hope you all ate and slept well. The weatherr's been on ourr side these last months of Summerr, and I'm glad. We all deserrved it. Howeverr, that is not the only thing we all deserrve." Her shredded ears went up. What did he have up his sleeve? She gazed at Whitelightning, trying to tell what he was going to do next. It was clear that this was a big day, and that this gathering was important.
"We all know how well we did in the hunt, but I don't think anyone dislikes praise. You've rreached beyond my expectations, and we even gatherred a few morre members and allies as well. Frrom now on, our Snow cat friends will be allowed to remain within camp. They've prroved theirr motives arre trrue, and we have no rreason to rreject them. So welcome to the wolves, snow cats." At this, she glanced up at Daark Fayte, smiling slightly, and her tail thumping against the dirt. Yes, the snow leopard had been a great help to the hunt. It was good to see that felines and canines could co-exist peacefully.
"As we'rre alrready awarre, there have been some birrths in the last few months. Tala and Xi arre now parrents to six new childrren. As a family, all of us, we must pledge to do our best to assist those childrren in grrowing up herre, in our hostal parradise. If any of you would go congrradulate them and meet our new family additions, it would be best."
Did he honestly have to bring those two up!? Unknown's shredded ears went back in remembrance. Where WERE those two anyways? Had they run off with their little pups? She snorted, remembering when Tala had yelled at Whitelightning. Thank god I'm not in charge of those two anymore. She thought with a smug expression.
However, Unknown's thoughts were interupted by Whitelightning's vanishing smile. Something was up. The blue pup stood, looking from Whitelightning to where he was staring at. She started slightly. Oceanmist? She thought, raising an eyebrow. The co-alpha spoke. "Then again. There are some otherr anouncements to make rregaurding new families. Isn't that right, my old friend? Oceanmist, come forrward."
Unknown took a small step back, standing for a few moments, then sitting down anxiously. She didn't like that non-friendly look in her alpha's eyes. The yearling could tell that Whitelightning was angry. Why? She hadn't the foggiest. But, she knew it had to do with Oceanmist.
Speaking of which, the female looked stunned on the spot. Sitting next to the cream and white alpha, she seemed to be both embarrassed and a tad confused. Unknown looked from Oceanmist to Whitelightning. Oh lord... Don't tell me she and Whitelightning... No that made no sense. Why'd he be angry? She shifted her feet uneasily then frowned slightly.
Unknown saw Majority speak to Oceanmist, a smile on her face. She swished her tail, watching the white female. From the corner of her eye, she saw Spitz approach the gathering. He seemed to be rather confused at what was going on. The yearling turned her head slightly and gazed at him, but glanced back at Whitelightning and Oceanmist. What's going on? It was the question everyone was thinking. Whitelightning was angry, something that was rare. Unknown didn't like it, not one bit.

Several days had passed since the great hunt that had taken place in WhiteLightning’s pack. Gunner’s wound had not yet healed. He had heard his Alpha’s call and came a quickly as he could, a tight limp in his left paw. While he had been distracting the mammoth so that the other wolves could have got a clear shot he had been cut but one of its tusks. Luckily for him it hadn’t hit deeply , it was merely scraped, but it still caused him a slight limp.
The sounds of voices could be heard as he neared his destination. He ignored the pain in his paw as he heard the angry voice of his Alpha.
Then again. There are some otherr anouncements to make rregaurding new families. Isn't that right, my old friend? Oceanmist, come forrward…
Gunner realized what this was about instantly. He had witnessed Oceanmist’s tempory banishment from the pack when she had been in heat. Perhaps now…but who… It was all confusing. Surely she couldn’t be with someone from another pack? Vile, the old alphess, had exiled her to stop her mating…so now…what?
Gunner frowned. Realizing that he new more than most of the wolves here he shot a warning glance at Sean. Sean was the other who had seen Vile send off the white female. Neither the hunter or Oceanmist had seemed too pleased about seeing Gunner. On the contrary Sean had seemed furious.
As he limped in Gunner did not utter a word. He walked around to sit fairly near the alpha and waited for the anger to subside and the ceremony to begin.
{Short. I just wanted to get it done.}

Whitelightning acknowladged the new arrivals with a simple glance; it was all he could manage without taking his irritation out on the innocent. Once the glare snapped back to oceanmist, his rage was snorted through his nostrals, hackles shuddering on the back of his neck. This was a disgrace. This was betrayal. This was the first time the wolf had to think of a pack member as a whore.
The father of the children wasn't even in the pack. More then likely, it wasn't even in the AREA of Greater north. What had she done? Found the first horney bastard she could and laid underneth him? Struck some stupid, overly emotional deal with a random lone wolf? Or worse. Was the wolf in ANOTHER pack, and would this cause confrontation later? Would oceanmist's inability to withhold her own instincts cause war and suffering not of her own?! The creatures in her belly were not part of the pack. They were strangers. They were unwanted. They were alien to their family. How would they EVER fit in here, knowing their mother was just a whore? Knowing that their births, their existance, wasn't formed from any bond save for one night... one night of stress and releif. How would they survive, knowing that they were, basicly, the surprise in the party bag? How could the pack dare to accept them? To allow this she-bitch's mistakes to live and take hold and live a life of torture?
How would they accept their mother? How would they be able to breath knowing that they were nothing but mistakes? 'Sorry kids, I know you don't have a dad, but you really would have liked him!'. They would walk through the earth like a bad dream, where all of their peers looked down on them like freaks of nature.
Whitelightning raised his head, looking down at her with disgust, as if she were nothing but a foul bile. "You've condemed yourr childrren. I do not see why I should not kill them now. You've thrrown them into a life built on yourr pathetic weakness." His eyes narrowed, like a snake or a demon or something from God's judgement. "What, and who, will they have to grrow forr? Why should we accept them! If you want them, you save them now. TURRN ARROUND AND ADRRESSS YOUR COMRRADS. TELL THEM WHAT YOU'VE DONE. TELL THEM WHAT YOU ARE!"

Looking around, searching for anyone who may have been looking at him, his eyes scanned the many heads of the congregated wolves. Alas, he saw none looking his way, except the glance of White Lightning, who did not appear to mind the stragglers. A stern look was upon his face, as he turned to face Oceanmist, however this went unnoticed by the brown beast as he played quietly with the snow by his paws. He brushed them up between his mitts, to form a mini wall of ice, and then he flattened it softly with his toes, pressing it into water. Despite being distracted so easily by the snow on which he, and the other sat, his ears were erect and listening, flicking now and again, for White Lightning's voice. He was not prepared for what his Alpha had to say to the she wolf next.
You've condemed yourr childrren. I do not see why I should not kill them now. You've thrrown them into a life built on yourr pathetic weakness."
Shifting uncomfortably on the spot, his eyes averted quickly to the plump she wolf, to White Lightning, and back to the female. What was going on? Why was he saying such horrible things to this one? Shaking his head in slight disbelief to the tone of his Alpha, his eyes stared in frustration. Condemned her children? Kill them now? What exactly had she done? Tempted to ask for an explanation from the wolves who sat in front of him, he resisted, because he was sure they were to find out now. Even if they were not to be told, he would not care, although his ears would no doubt pick any possible rumours in the wind streams later on in the evening. Grasping a clump of snow between his paws, he glared at the she wolf and her shocked expression, before pointing his nose to white.
Ears flattening on his head, he withdrew his nose to his chest and listened with half closed eyes. Such harsh words, coming from what Spitz had thought to be a gentle old wolf. Then again, he should not be seen to be a pushover. No conclusion as to what the possibilities of this apparent crime was came to the mind of the brute. Throwing his eyes around the others, some seemed to know what the problem was. Why did he not know? Was this an old member of the Greater North? If not, who was she then? Was she the Alphess, who had returned from another land with some other mutts litter? That may be it, although the feeling of being greatly mistaken hung on his head. Never had such a scene been seen by the pale yellow of the eyes of Spitz. Then again, he'd never set his eyes upon a pack so grand an united before. Curious, he looked to Oceanmist, to see what she had to say for herself.

Sean watched as Ocean stood beside his Alpha with fear in her eyes. What had she done? He suddenly remembered her exil while she was in heat, he shot Gunner a glance. He had seen it also. A wave of anger came trough him, she had gone of and brtreyed her home, and her Alphess. She disobeyed Vile. Even though Vile was gone now he knew Ocean was in deep trouble, and it was then he knew he wasn't going ot help her this time.
"You've condemed yourr childrren. I do not see why I should not kill them now. You've thrrown them into a life built on yourr pathetic weakness."
Sean's ears pinned back, he wanted to speak out, not for Ocean for her pups but he kept his mouth shut. Killing the tertor's pups wouldn't solve anything. It wasn't like they had a choice of how they were born and conceved. He glanced to Gunner a flash of anger and confusion in his eyes before looking back to Ocean. Could she be forgiven? THe pack would most likely shun her and her young now that his had happened.
Sean agreed, would he and his packmates accept her after she spoke out? He qurked a brow while staring coldly toward her, he had never felt so ashamed of someone in his life. The seconds seem to pass so slowly as the suspence build up. His noticed another wolf he knew, Spitz he nodded to him before glared sharply back toward the front. Altough Sean was normally a friendly caring wolf he felt nothing but anger and shame for this wolfess. He prayed she had never spoken of her home land to anyone, if she had the name would become dirty. To think of a pack and see nothing but filth, at the moment that was how he though of Ocean.
He felt guilty also, she was forced infront of the entire pack to humiliate herself. No one knew what would happen to her. Would she be forced to leave, exiled forever? Or be given a horrible duty no one wanted? He felt she would deserve what ever his Alpha decided.
((Spell check is being retarded))
