The sea moaned and swept in an endless cycle, as it had done since the beginning of time. Tiny pointed rippled came and went on the surface of the water, and the white lips of baby waves curled into life.
The dark form of the hunter would have been completely camouflaged if it wasn't for the sea's movement. Grey stood completely still, his head underwater, a small grey island. Under the sea was a turbulent world of rushing creatures and little silver stones. He was near the base of a boulder, quite a way from the beach, and had found himself a platform to stand on so that he could find access to all the creatures that had gone to hide beneath the boulder.
It didn't take long before he spotted prey: a short, fat fish with blue and orange markings. Nature's a funny thing, he thought. Some animals are so well-camouflaged that nothing can eat them. Others advertise their presence with bright colours. In a twitch as fast as lightning, he grabbed the fish by its head and bit hard so that its life was gone. Cold, gloopy blood ran in his mouth and dripped from his jaws. The fish hung limp, and he gripped hard as he floated from the platform and swam back to shore.
Shaking his fur from head to tail, he dropped the fish and held it tight between his paws as he started to eat.

Waves, small ripples in the beautifull water made their was across the ocean. The beauty was of course just to hide the evils that lurked underneath. Along the waters edge, a blue-grey form was visible. A catlike creature was wandering and looking for a certain land, but hadnt fouind it yet. He moved slowly about, but upon seeing a grey shape perched upon a boulder, he ran towards to investigate. Upon the way though, he lost footing and almost fell in, only catching himself by a foot. Wich was now wet. Vensolarin gave a low whine and started licking his foot dry, and when he looked up again, the figure was on the shore. Walking up close enough for it to see him, the cat gave a yelp and continued walking slowly towards it.

Greyscale looked up at the scent of a cat. It seemed preoccupied with licking its paws, so no threat. The wolf continued to eat, keeping an eye on his immediate surroundings in case the cat decided to scavenge. His awareness was heightened as it began to walk towards him, and it yelped. Grey pricked his ears and took a confident stance. "Hi there," he said. "What you up to?"
