Spring was a very pretty time on the lakeshore. Summer was ending and fall weather was on the air. The winds picked up every once and a while, but the lands got a respite from searing heat of summer or the biting winds of winter. The ground was soft and plesant to the touch. Birds were prevelant, the young ones already leaving the nest and calling out to their parents, voiceds loud in the orchestra of the wild. Rabbits scampered, and one in particular nibbled at a tender root near the shore. The rabbit's fur was black streaked with silver, it's eyes were a bright brown. The little creature was very paranoid however and kept it's head in the air, nose twitching wildly as if some invisible signal would tell it to run.
Amazingly, it seemed to happen, the rabbit's body became rigid, head shooting up into the air. The rodent's nose twitched wildly as it inhaled all the scents coming towards it. something was up, it was evident in the rabbit's stance and the way that it's tiny muscles tensed under the silvery black pelt that covered it's body. Quickly, and without warning, the rabbit bolted. It turned and bounded away as swiftly as the wind, disappearing into the brush like nothing more than a seemingly nonexistant enigma.
The reason for the rabbit's swifty departure was evident, however, as a figure moved towards the placid lake. The figue was small in stature...a wolf. It was a larger wolf by standards, but smaller by the standards laid down by the blackblood wolves. The wolf moved with fluid and grace, ebony pelt stark against the midday sky. Navy stripes lined the female's back and down her legs. Her tail also got the same treatment and was tipped in the same navy blue color. Her face also had some stripes. The wolf had a ruff on the back of her nape that was crimson in color, like the roses that sometimes grew in the wild. The ruff started between her crimson lined ears and traveled down to her shoulderblades.
Bright blue eyes stared out at the world as she padded along. Soon though, it was apperant that she wasn't along. Nine boisterous puppies padded along behind her, each's personality unique in it's own right.
