Whats in a Name?

The wind took on many scents, human, dog and even horses. Each of them busy at work at the early hour. One dog stood silent and without a job. Guardian had been accepted but he had no human to work for, no job given by the alpha. Nothing.

"How can I prove my worth?"

Guardian whispered to the wind as it blew past him. Today he would try to make some friends, as well as try to make something of himself in anyway that he could.

Earning his name was Guardian's reason for joining the Village. To make Decan proud of him. This was his goal in life it was his true purpose. He sighed and looked into the distance, where the sun had barely begun to rise. He enjoyed watching it's beauty as often as he could, it brought to him good memories.

"Hmmm..."

Ransom had been on her feet for days, and had seen no action in a good while. And now as she came upon this settlement belonging to men, she snickered under her breath, tongue running over her teeth as she caught the scent of another. This would be fun.

It was not long before the male came into Ransom's line of sight. He was large, and had the build of a hybrid, an odd collar hanging from his strong neck. This threw the female off momentarily, but she was quick to continue her approach. If worse came to worse, she could always back off, most likely laughing maniacally on the way out.

"Hey...you look like an interesting individual. What's with the pathetic face?"
